Sichuan Tasty is our favorite Sichuan restaurant in SF so far. Their mapo tofu, fish fillet, and green beans are always sooo good. We always bring our out of town friends here and everyone love it. Definitely our comfort spot when we’re craving Sichuan food. We just had a traumatizing mustard green fish fillet experience at another Sichuan restaurant in SF and immediately had to come back here to recover 😂 Should’ve known better!

Sichuan Tasty is one spot me and my boyfriend end up going to at least once a week. All the food we've had here has been so good. Everything always comes out very hot and tastes so good. Their hot and sour soup is one of my favorite things on the menu (it's consistently very very good) and their sesame chicken & salt and pepper chicken is fantastic. The service is always fast even during their super busy times. It's overall a great Sichuan place and one of our favorite Chinese food spots in the city!

Hidden gem in SF, they have good varieties of Chinese cuisines. Chilly chicken is to die for, and so are other items.

This meal hits that unapologetically indulgent Chinese-American sweet spot—big flavors, bold sauces, and zero restraint. The lo mein is exactly what you expect in the best way: glossy, slightly oily, and packed with savory depth from the beef and wok-charred vegetables. It’s not trying to be refined, and honestly, that’s the point—it delivers comfort with every bite. The eggplant dish was the standout for me. Silky, almost buttery in texture, it soaks up that garlicky, soy-heavy sauce in a way that feels borderline addictive. There’s a balance between sweet and umami that keeps it from being too heavy, even though it absolutely leans rich. It’s the kind of dish you don’t think will be your favorite, and then suddenly you’re going back for more every few minutes. The fried chicken dishes, though, are where it gets a bit excessive. Both the chili-loaded version and the sweet glazed one bring crunch and flavor, but they blur together after a while—more about intensity than nuance. Still, if you’re leaning into a full-on comfort food moment, this spread delivers. It’s messy, loud, and satisfying—the kind of meal that doesn’t pretend to be anything other than exactly what it is.

Cozy cabin vibes. Packed after hardly strictly Pepper chicken - my favorite thing, get this. Sizzling, flavorful, tender Sichuan pickled fish - delicious and huge portions Tan tan noodles - numbing but not too spicy Cucumber salad - fine Mapo tofu - delicious but spicy!! Sauce is thick though, could be less starchy West lake beef soup - yummy and not too thick Cauliflower - just okay, less crispy than expected Spicy cabbage - great texture great flavor Chicken chow mein - more Chinese American than Sichuan but still yummy 😋
